Jimmie Smith, Jr. earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 2002 and Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. He taught Kindergarten, third, and fourth grade at Outley Elementary School in Alief Independent School District. In addition, he taught eighth grade at Holub Middle school. Jimmie is currently an adjunct professor at the Art Institute of Houston and an administrator at O'Donnell Middle School in Alief ISD. Jimmie works as a facilitator for Education in Action because he enjoys continuing to work with students during the summer break. He feels students are able to keep their minds fresh and build on knowledge of the great state of Texas.
