Lone Star Leadership Academy programs are open to students in certain sets of grade levels, by location:

• Dallas/Fort Worth for students currently in 3rd-6th grades
• Austin/San Antonio for students currently in 4th-7th grades
• Houston/Galveston for students currently in 5th-8th grades

For this reason, we recommend that all 6th graders sign up for the Dallas/Fort Worth location first so that in the future they will be able to participate in all Lone Star Leadership Academy programs should they desire to do so. For example, if a 6th grader signed up for Austin/San Antonio first, he or she would be ineligible for Dallas/Fort Worth the following summer. Similarly, if a 7th grader signed up for Houston/Galveston first, he or she would miss out on the opportunity to participate in Austin/San Antonio.

Students who participate in all three Lone Star Leadership Academies earn the Trailblazer designation at the conclusion of their final program.
