Shruti just completed 9th grade at Independence High School in Frisco ISD.

I want to be a Youth Facilitator because I have experienced firsthand how powerful this program can be. As a camper, my Youth Facilitators made me feel seen, supported, and confident enough to step outside my comfort zone. That experience stayed with me and shaped how I approached leadership.

After three years on the Alumni Council and as a 2025 Youth Mentor, I have had the opportunity to support campers and contribute to the program in meaningful ways. Now, I’m ready to take on a larger leadership role where I can actively guide a group, create a positive and inclusive environment, and help each camper feel like they belong. I’m excited to give back in a deeper way and create the same kind of impact that once inspired me.
