What are a Youth Facilitator's responsibilities at camp?

  • Help student campers with their luggage at registration and pick-up.
  • Rotate Leadership Groups set up by the Director each day.
  • Sit with a different group of students at each meal and on the bus and interact with them.
  • Please do NOT "buddy up" with other Youth Facilitators. You may socialize with them at the Youth Facilitator's nightly meetings.
  • Help with breakfast setup and handing out meals at restaurants.
  • Conduct the discussion and group activity for each morning Leadership Group meeting.
  • Help with the evening meeting by handing out t-shirts for the following day and leading the large group activity.
  • Help control the attention of students during career speakers, on the bus, and during tours.
  • Come prepared to speak about your LSLA Alumni Council and camp experience/s and your service project at Friday’s Farewell Program.
