4th - 8th Grade Science and Social Studies, Burnet / Waco, TX

Combine geology, history, and Texas culture on this dynamic, hands-on field trip! Cavern Capers begins at Longhorn Cavern State Park, where students explore stunning underground formations, learn about the natural forces that created the cavern, and uncover its fascinating human history.

After the cavern adventure, students can customize their day with one—or both—of these iconic Texas destinations:

  • Dr Pepper Museum – Discover the history of Texas’s original soft drink while exploring innovation, entrepreneurship, and the science behind this beloved beverage. Students will participate in the "Make your own Soda" activity!

  • Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum – Step into the world of the legendary Texas Rangers, learning about law enforcement, frontier history, and the people who helped shape Texas.

Perfect for classrooms combining science, history, and Texas culture, Cavern Capers offers an unforgettable day of exploration and discovery.

The best part is, we handle the details so you don’t have to. Charter bus? Check. Reservations? Check. Fun, meaningful, TEKS-based curriculum for the entire day? Check. Join us on “Caverns and Capers” for a day your students won’t soon forget!
