Sofia just completed 11th grade at Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions in Houston ISD.

I want to be a Youth Facilitator because the Lone Star Leadership Academy has had a lasting impact on my growth as a leader. It helped me build the confidence and communication skills that later led me to serve as sophomore and junior class president. Having previously served as a Youth Facilitator, I have already seen how rewarding it is to mentor younger students and help them discover their own leadership potential. I would love having the opportunity to continue giving back to a program that has played such an important role in my journey.
