4th, 5th, 6th & 7th Grade Social Studies & Science - Austin, TX

Bring Texas history and natural science together in one unforgettable adventure! Capitol Goes Wild begins at the Texas State Capitol, where students explore the historic building, learn how laws are made, and discover the leaders and events that have shaped our state.

After touring the Capitol, schools can customize their day with one—or both—of these exciting Waco experiences:

  • Cameron Park Zoo – Journey through natural-habitat exhibits to discover animals from around the world while learning about ecosystems, adaptations, and wildlife conservation with a focus on the Brazos River Exhibit.

  • Waco Mammoth National Monument – Step back into the Ice Age as students explore the fossil site of a Columbian mammoth nursery herd and uncover lessons in geology, paleontology, and ancient Texas.

Perfect for science and social studies classrooms, Capitol Goes Wild combines government, history, and hands-on natural science to create a field trip students will remember long after the buses head home.

The best part is, we handle the details so you don't have to. Charter bus? Check. Fun, meaningful, TEKS-based curriculum for the entire day? Check. A Discover Texas Field Trip your students won't soon forget!
