4th, 5th, 6th & 7th Grade Social Studies & Science - Austin, TX
Blend Texas history and geology for a field trip students will never forget! Capitol Rocks! begins at the Texas Capitol, where students explore the historic Chambers, learn how state government works, and discover the leaders and events that shaped Texas.
After experiencing the Capitol, schools can choose one of three exciting cave adventures—each offering a unique look beneath the surface of Texas (each one includes a mineral dig):
-
Longhorn Cavern State Park – Discover stunning underground formations while learning about cave geology, natural processes, and the cavern’s fascinating human history.
-
Wonder World Cave & Adventure Park – Explore a real earthquake-formed cave and enjoy additional educational attractions such as the anti-gravity house and train ride with petting zoo, that make earth science interactive and fun.
Natural Bridge Caverns – Journey through Texas’s largest and most spectacular cave system, filled with dramatic formations and hands-on geology learning opportunities. Also includes a human maze!
Perfect for science and social studies classrooms, Capitol Rocks! brings together government, history, and earth science for a day of exploration above and below ground.
The best part is, we handle the details so you don't have to. Charter bus? Check. Fun, meaningful, TEKS-based curriculum for the entire day? Check. A Discover Texas Field Trip your students won't soon forget!
