Dive into Texas history and environmental science on this unique, hands-on field trip! Capitol Splash begins at the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, where they explore the vital wetlands ecosystem and learn about water conservation, wildlife habitats, and environmental stewardship. The experience is topped off with a glass-bottom boat tour, giving students a unique, up-close view of the plants and animals that call Texas waterways home.
Next, students head to the Texas State Capitol, where students explore the historic building, learn how state government works, and discover the people and events that shaped our state.
